Veterans appreciation Day for vets and families - Third Saturday of each month

Rain or shine come enjoy the camaraderie of other veterans and their families.

Get to know your fellow brothers and sisters in arms who live locally. Are goal is to have no veterans or veterans families feel isolated or alone.

Jumping in and help us on the Bar-be-que is a great way to start to meet and make new friends and connections. We are always looking for grill masters to help cook hamburgers and hotdogs.

 A Desert Storm veteran shared how attending a Military  Appreciation Night performance allowed him to reflect on his helicopter  missions in Iraq and Kuwait, where he witnessed the "scenes of horror"  and wounded soldiers below his Medevac helicopter. He emphasized the  lingering impact of invisible wounds and praised the event’s role in  fostering healing and resilience among veterans

• A Marine veteran recounted how his  wife, previously critical of military service, experienced a profound  shift after attending the event. She apologized for past  misunderstandings and engaged him in heartfelt conversations about his  service for the first time, deepening their connection

• A Vietnam veteran described the event  as "cathartic," comparing it to his Honor Flight experience, where  crowds welcomed veterans home decades after their service. He  highlighted the emotional power of communal recognition and its role in  validating veterans’ sacrifices
